Borneo Tourism Institute (BTI) was established in 1995 and formerly known as Borneo Wildlife TourismBorneo Tourism Institute is a private body comprising of experienced professionals from many fields, with the same vision in meeting the needs of Malaysia to be at a competitive edge particularly in Tourism services. The Institute was conceptualised, to strive for excellence in Education, Research & Development and Management services in National and International Tourism development.

 

Vision
The Institute strives as the hub of Tourism, particularly Nature Tourism knowledge and professionals in Malaysia, through excellence in Education, Research, Development and Management Services.

Objectives
Various sections were established within the Institute, namely Human Resources Development, Research & Development and Management Consultancy Services, to work independently and collectively in fulfilment of the Institute objectives.

No doubt, being part of Borneo, make us the centre for Tourism development in Borneo. Yet, our vision ensures that we head for the sustainability of South East Asia Tourism, particularly Malaysia, comprising Conservation and Environmental Development at large.

In line with the Institute Vision, the Institute have outline three main objectives.

The main objectives of the Institute are:

  • Development of Human Resources, to enhance Tourism particularly Nature Tourism, towards excellence
  • Striving as the synergying hub for efficient management in Nature Tourism
  • Elevation of Conservation through Nature Tourism
